🖤📚 A Wild Idea (But Stay With Me) (#Anthology #Charity & #Commission based) #BookishForGood #AuthorsGiveBack #CommunityOverCompetition #BooksBruisesBadDecisions

I want to float an idea and see who’s brave enough to jump in with me.

What if we brought together a group of authors and created collaborative books for a cause — not as a marketing gimmick, not as a rushed cash grab, but as something intentional, creative, and genuinely good?

Here’s what I’m imagining:

• Multiple authors
• One shared project
• Clear outlines and expectations
• Professional editing
• Simple, transparent structure

One concept would be a chapter-by-chapter round-robin book, where each author contributes a chapter and the story is passed to the next writer. Structured chaos — but with an actual outline so it doesn’t fall apart halfway through.

Another concept would be short-story anthologies, themed and tightly curated, where each author contributes a standalone piece.

Once completed, edited, and published, the proceeds would be donated — not to one place, but spread intentionally across different Angel Tree–style causes: 🎄 children
🐾 animals
🖤 nursing homes
(and potentially others depending on what the community chooses)

This wouldn’t be a one-time thing.
If it works, it could become a yearly tradition, with different rounds, different themes, and different books — so authors can contribute once, twice, or however often they want.

I want to be very clear about a few things upfront: • This would be volunteer-based • Participation could be as small or as big as you want • Timelines would be realistic • Transparency would be non-negotiable • No pressure, no guilt, no “you owe us” energy

I don’t know yet if the first round would be ready in time for Christmas 2026 — and I’m okay with that. Doing it right matters more than doing it fast. The goal is impact, not optics.

Right now, I’m just opening the conversation.

If you’re an author and this sparks something — curiosity, excitement, cautious interest — I’d love to hear from you. If you’re a reader and this is something you’d support or buy into, I want to know that too.

Sometimes the best projects start as slightly unhinged ideas shared out loud.

Let’s see where this one goes. 🖤
